Seasonal lifestyle tips for exercise, home maintenance, and gardening

As the seasons change, various practical tips are being shared for maintaining lifestyle and home efficiency during cooler months.

For physical activity, fitness instructor Zsuzsa Dóczi suggests that outdoor exercise remains viable in autumn as long as individuals dress in breathable, technical layers rather than thick cotton to avoid moisture buildup. Proper warm-ups are essential to prevent injury in cooler temperatures.

Regarding home maintenance, heating expert Aaron Willcox notes that cleaning dust from radiators can improve heating efficiency by 10–20 percent. Removing dust from behind and between radiator fins allows for better air circulation.

For indoor gardening and recycling, paper egg cartons can be repurposed as simple bird feeders for balconies or gardens, provided they are placed in areas safe from predators. Additionally, dill can be successfully grown indoors during autumn and winter if provided with at least six hours of sunlight, a container at least 25 centimeters deep, and temperatures maintained between 20–22 degrees Celsius.
