Seasonal shifts bring autumn weather and winter forecasts

As summer transitions into autumn, discussions regarding seasonal changes and upcoming winter weather patterns are increasing. Recent temperature drops have signaled the arrival of autumn, prompting interest in potential winter conditions.

Meteorologist Dominik Jung noted that while snow in lowlands typically arrives in November, it is theoretically possible to see snow as early as September in high-altitude Alpine regions above 2,000 meters. In mid-mountain ranges, such as the Fichtelberg or Brocken, the first snowfall may occur in October.

The seasonal shift also brings practical challenges for families, including changes in daily routines, managing children's clothing for fluctuating temperatures, and the increased prevalence of seasonal illnesses.
