Seat negotiates Audi Q4 e-tron production at Martorell plant

Seat is currently in negotiations with the Volkswagen Group to potentially manufacture the Audi Q4 e-tron electric SUV at its Martorell plant in Barcelona, Spain, starting in 2032.

While the operation is not yet confirmed, the discussions aim to secure larger electric models for the Catalan factory to improve profitability. Currently, the Martorell plant focuses on smaller electric vehicles, such as the Cupra Raval and ID. Polo, which provide volume but lower profit margins compared to premium SUVs.

The Audi Q4 e-tron is presently produced in Zwickau, Germany. However, Volkswagen is reviewing its European manufacturing capacity due to evolving demand and industrial costs. A formal decision regarding the model's allocation is not expected until next year, leaving the plant's long-term production roadmap subject to ongoing negotiations.
