SeatGeek launches conversational AI search tool

SeatGeek has launched ‘Ask SeatGeek’, a conversational AI search tool integrated directly into its marketplace search bar. The feature allows users to use natural language to find tickets, such as requesting ‘popular outdoor concerts this week for under $100’, rather than relying solely on traditional manual filters.

The tool utilizes 17 years of company data, including venue maps, sightlines, and seating perks, to provide tailored results through images and live inventory. According to CEO Jack Groetzinger, the goal is to provide fans with a simpler way to act on complex information.

This launch follows previous AI initiatives by the company, including a partnership with Google for an ‘agentic AI-search’ pilot and the release of a ChatGPT app. SeatGeek intends to eventually use purchase history and seating preferences to offer highly personalized recommendations regarding accessibility, shade, or group needs.
