FSRU conversion LNG infrastructure energy transition regasification capacity floating storage

Seatrium Limited and Karpowership have announced their ninth Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) conversion project, the LNGT Akdeniz. This project continues a long-standing partnership between the two companies that has resulted in the delivery of seven FSRUs since 2018.

The LNGT Akdeniz will be part of the LNG fleet for Kinetics, which is Karpowership’s energy transition initiative. The vessel is expected to feature a regasification capacity of up to 600 MMscfd, intended to support reliable and flexible energy supplies in markets where energy security is a priority. This project follows the recent delivery of the LNGT Türkiye and the ongoing conversion of the LNGT Karadeniz.
