Seattle festival shooting: 911 calls reveal chaos

Newly released 911 audio provides details regarding a fatal shooting at the Bite of Seattle food festival near the Seattle Center Armory. The recordings capture the chaos of the emergency response, including a caller stating, “I’m losing blood,” after being struck in the back. Dispatchers were heard attempting to calm the wounded individual while requesting additional aid units as reports of multiple victims emerged.

Emergency responders initially treated the area as an active scene. Dispatch transmissions indicated there were at least six confirmed gunshot wounds. The shooting resulted in two deaths and multiple injuries. Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson previously stated that one suspect was taken into custody. Interim Police Chief Andre Sayles has noted that investigators have developed new information, though specific details regarding the investigation remain undisclosed.
