Seattle Kraken defeat Detroit Red Wings in shootout

The Seattle Kraken secured a 4-3 shootout victory against the Detroit Red Wings at Climate Pledge Arena. Seattle controlled much of the game, leading 3-0 after two periods and dominating the expected goal battle with a 78% to 12% advantage.

Early scoring for the Kraken included a goal by Mackie Samoskevich following a line shuffle, a power-play goal by Ryker Evans, and a goal from Brandon Montour, who returned to the lineup after an upper-body injury. Despite Detroit's efforts, Seattle's territorial dominance proved decisive in the matchup.
