Seattle Kraken prepare for matchup against Toronto Maple Leafs

The Seattle Kraken are set to host the Toronto Maple Leafs in an out-of-conference matchup. Seattle currently holds a 7-4-1 record, placing them third in the Pacific Division, while Toronto sits at 7-5-2 in the Atlantic Division.

Reports indicate that Kraken General Manager Jason Botterill remains active in the trade market, seeking a top-line scoring winger to bolster the roster. To acquire a high-profile player, the organization may be willing to trade young centermen, including prospects such as Jake O'Brien, Oscar Fisker Molgaard, Julius Miettinen, or Berkly Catton.

Key performers for Seattle include Kaapo Kakko and Frederick Gaudreau, while Toronto is led by Auston Matthews and William Nylander. Both teams face injury challenges heading into the game, with Seattle missing Jared McCann and Jake O'Brien, and Toronto dealing with several absences including John Tavares and Max Domi.
