Seattle Mariners bolster roster with Milner and Montes

The Seattle Mariners have made significant roster adjustments to bolster their struggling lineup and bullpen. The club signed veteran left-handed reliever Hoby Milner, who was recently released by the Chicago Cubs. Milner, a 10-year veteran, joins a bullpen that has posted a 6.38 ERA since the All-Star break.

Additionally, the Mariners have called up top outfield prospect Lazaro Montes from Triple-A Tacoma. Montes, ranked as a high-level prospect by MLB Pipeline, brings significant power potential to a lineup that has struggled throughout the season. To accommodate these moves, the team designated utilityman Connor Joe and right-hander Nolan Kingham for assignment.

On the field, the Mariners are scheduled to face the Athletics in a home series at T-Mobile Park. Following a loss in the series opener, Seattle is set to start ace Logan Gilbert against Athletics right-hander Kade Morris.
