Seattle Mariners defeat Houston Astros behind Brendan Donovan breakout

The Seattle Mariners secured a 10-5 victory over the Houston Astros, fueled by a standout performance from Brendan Donovan and a strong start by pitcher Emerson Hancock. Donovan recorded three hits and three RBIs, providing a significant offensive boost for Seattle.

This performance marks a potential turning point for the Mariners' offense, which has struggled recently. Donovan, who has dealt with recurring groin injuries and sports hernia surgery, noted that he is playing “pain-free for the first time in over a year.”

The win helps the Mariners remain competitive in the AL West, leaving them five games behind the Astros with 38 games remaining in the season. The team recorded 27 hits during the game, their highest total in back-to-back games this season.
