Seattle Mariners Place Two Players on 10-Day Injured List

The Seattle Mariners placed outfielder Luke Raley on the 10‑day injured list retroactive to July 31 because of a left forearm strain. To fill his roster spot, the club selected outfielder Stuart Fairchild from Triple‑A Tacoma. Raley had been playing through elbow discomfort and his recent production had dropped sharply.

A day earlier, the Mariners also moved third‑baseman J. P. Crawford to the 10‑day injured list with left wrist inflammation, retroactive to July 30. Infielder Leo Rivas was recalled from Triple‑A Tacoma, and Weston Wilson was slated to start at third base in Crawford’s place. Both moves were announced as the team prepared for a series against the Minnesota Twins.
