Seattle named top U.S. Labor Day travel destination
Seattle has been identified as the top destination in the United States for the Labor Day holiday, according to data from AAA Travel. Other leading domestic destinations include Orlando and Boston, followed by Denver and New York.
Travelers are facing increased costs compared to the previous year. Flights to major domestic destinations have seen an average increase of approximately 20 to 21 percent. Additionally, gas prices are higher than during the previous Labor Day period.
International travel trends show Rome, Vancouver, London, Dublin, and Paris as top destinations. While international flight costs have seen a slight decrease of 4 percent, domestic travelers are seeing significant price hikes. Many travelers are also opting for cruises and national park visits, with high demand expected for car rentals in cities like Denver and Las Vegas.
