Seattle Seahawks sold for record $9.612 billion to Khosla-led group

The Seattle Seahawks, current Super Bowl LX champions, have officially completed a franchise sale to a group led by the Khosla family. The transaction, valued at $9.612 billion, sets a record for the most expensive purchase in NFL history.

Vinod Khosla will serve as board president, with Neeru Khosla as controlling owner and president of the Seahawks Charitable Foundation, and Neal Khosla as vice president. The sale marks the end of the era managed by the estate of Paul Allen.

The new ownership group includes several international investors, notably Mexican entrepreneurs Gonzalo Hevia Baillères, founder of HBeyond, and the Aramburuzabala family. Hevia Baillères becomes one of the first Mexican investors to hold a stake in an NFL franchise. Other co-owners include Mark Stevens, Val Blavatnik, Sheryl Sokoloff, and several investment firms such as Carlyle and Dynasty Equity.
