Seattle Seahawks put RB Zach Charbonnet on PUP list for 2026 season

The Seattle Seahawks announced that running back Zach Charbonnet has been placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list at the start of training camp. Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL in the divisional‑round win in January 2026 and underwent surgery in February, putting his return on a nine‑to‑twelve‑month rehabilitation timeline.

Charbonnet, the 2023 second‑round draft pick, posted career‑high numbers in 2025 with 184 carries, 730 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns over 16 games. He is in the final year of his rookie contract worth about $6.9 million. The loss of former starter Kenneth Walker III to free agency and the addition of rookie Jadarian Price have intensified competition in Seattle’s backfield, prompting the team to manage Charbonnet’s recovery carefully.
