Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks may be trade targets for Detroit Lions

Following a Super Bowl victory with the Seattle Seahawks, quarterback Sam Darnold has stated he prefers to focus on the present rather than dwelling on his past experiences with the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings. Darnold noted that holding onto thoughts about former teams is a “waste of brain space” and that he chooses to focus on the lessons learned during those periods instead.

In light of Teddy Bridgewater’s abrupt retirement, the Detroit Lions may seek a trade with the Seahawks to bolster their quarterback depth. Potential trade candidates from Seattle include Drew Lock, who is in the final year of his contract, and Jalen Milroe, a former third-round pick. A trade for Lock could provide the Lions with an experienced backup for a relatively low draft cost, while Milroe could serve as a long-term succession plan for Jared Goff.
