Seattle Seahawks sign cornerback Terrion Arnold amid felony charges

The Seattle Seahawks have signed cornerback Terrion Arnold to a one-year, minimum-salary deal following his release from the Detroit Lions. Arnold is currently facing eight felony charges in Florida, including allegations of kidnapping, armed robbery, and conspiracy stemming from a February incident in Tampa. Prosecutors allege Arnold orchestrated the abduction and beating of three men after wrongly suspecting them of stealing cash and luxury goods.

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald addressed the signing, stating the team is respecting the legal process and waiting for the NFL to determine Arnold's eligibility. Arnold's defense attorney and his sports management agency have denied the allegations, claiming there is no credible evidence.

Former Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman commented on the move, suggesting the team is “chasing edges” by acquiring a former first-round pick who could thrive in Seattle's defensive scheme. Arnold has a scheduled court appearance on October 5.
