Seattle Seahawks sign cornerback Terrion Arnold amid felony charges

The Seattle Seahawks have officially signed cornerback Terrion Arnold, who will be placed on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list while facing eight felony charges in Florida. The charges stem from allegations that Arnold orchestrated the kidnapping, armed robbery, and beating of three men in February following a suspected theft of $100,000 in cash and luxury goods.

While on the exempt list, Arnold is permitted to attend team meetings and receive pay, but he is prohibited from playing or practicing. Seahawks General Manager John Schneider described the allegations as ‘shocking’ but noted that the team considered various factors, including character assessments, when deciding to sign the former first-round pick. Coach Mike Macdonald stated the organization respects the legal process and is providing Arnold an opportunity to earn a position.

Arnold’s defense attorney and his management agency have denied the allegations, stating there is ‘no credible evidence’ against him. The legal proceedings in Florida remain ongoing.
