Seattle Seahawks place Bud Clark and Mason Richman on injured reserve
The Seattle Seahawks have placed rookie safety Bud Clark and offensive lineman Mason Richman on injured reserve following significant injuries sustained during a preseason game against the Tennessee Titans. Clark, a second-round draft pick from TCU, suffered a broken right ankle on the team’s first defensive play and was carted off the field. He is expected to miss multiple months of action.
Mason Richman, a second-year guard, also sustained a major long-term injury to his right leg during the game’s opening drive. These injuries follow the recent loss of wide receiver Jake Bobo, who was placed on injured reserve after suffering a season-ending knee injury during a joint practice with the Titans.
In response to these roster vacancies, the Seahawks have signed tackle Derrick Graham, safety Tysheem Johnson, and running back Justin Jones. Head coach Mike Macdonald described the series of injuries as a “heartbreaker” for the team.
