Seattle Seahawks tight end Elijah Arroyo out for season

Seattle Seahawks tight end Elijah Arroyo will miss the remainder of the 2026 season due to shoulder surgery. The injury occurred during the team's October 15 game against the Denver Broncos.

Arroyo, a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft from the University of Miami, was expected to play a larger role in the Seahawks' offense. During his rookie season, he appeared in 13 games and contributed to the team's Super Bowl championship run. In the current season, he recorded one reception for 17 yards.

The Seahawks have placed Arroyo on injured reserve, which allows the team to activate running back Zach Charbonnet from the physically unable to perform list. Charbonnet is returning from a torn ACL sustained during the previous season's playoffs.
