Seattle Seahawks to star in HBO's Hard Knocks series as filming starts

HBO's documentary series Hard Knocks will feature the Seattle Seahawks for the first time. Production crews from NFL Films arrived in Renton, Washington, to begin shooting at the Seahawks' training camp. The five‑episode series will focus on head coach Mike McDaniel and four key players – Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith‑Njigba, Devon Witherspoon and Byron Murphy II – and is scheduled to premiere on HBO and HBO Max on August 4, with new episodes airing each Tuesday through September 1.

The early premiere date is earlier than originally planned, and the show will be narrated by Lieb Schreiber. This marks the Seahawks’ debut on the acclaimed series, which has highlighted other NFL teams since its launch in 2001.
