Seattle shooting claims Mexican victim Carlos Sánchez

Authorities identified the three dead from the July 26 shooting at Seattle Center, near the Space Needle. The victims were 44-year‑old Mexican immigrant Carlos Israel Sánchez Villalba, 56‑year‑old Ashley Whitehead and 19‑year‑old Junior Cee Niko Semo, the latter believed to be a suspect.

Four people were injured, including a two‑year‑old child who remains hospitalized. Police continue to search for a third suspect after arresting a 15‑year‑old female, describing the event as an exchange of fire between two individuals, with one shooter still at large.

The Gun Violence Archive notes this was the 271st mass shooting in the United States this year involving four or more victims.
