Sebastian Fitzek releases limited edition of ‘Amokspiel’

German bestselling author Sebastian Fitzek is releasing a limited hardcover special edition of his second psychological thriller, ‘Amokspiel’. The new edition, published by Droemer Knaur, is scheduled for release on August 3, 2026.

‘Amokspiel’ follows a hostage-taker who takes over a radio studio, creating a public spectacle where listeners must use specific codewords to assist in hostage rescues. The novel, which draws on the author’s professional experience working in radio, has previously been a major bestseller.

Fitzek has achieved significant commercial success since his 2006 debut, ‘Die Therapie’. His works have sold over 21 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 36 languages. His income is derived from book sales, audiobook royalties, international publishing rights, and film adaptations.
