Sebastian Fundora retains WBC super welterweight title via last-second TKO

Sebastian Fundora retained his WBC super welterweight title with a dramatic twelfth-round technical knockout against Ermal Hadribeaj at The Chelsea in Las Vegas. The stoppage occurred at the 2:59 mark of the final round, just one second before the bell. Fundora secured the victory with a powerful left hand that dropped the undefeated challenger.

The bout was highly competitive, with Hadribeaj frequently crowding the taller Fundora and working effectively on the inside. The referee, Thomas Taylor, deducted points from Hadribeaj in both the third and eleventh rounds for excessive holding. While Hadribeaj’s physical pressure and body work challenged the champion early on, Fundora’s volume and body attacks eventually wore the challenger down.

With this fourth successful title defense, Fundora improves his professional record to 25-1-1 with 17 knockouts. Following the match, Fundora expressed his intention to pursue an undisputed championship in the 154-pound division, targeting potential future bouts against Jaron Ennis or Josh Kelly.
