Sebastian Fundora defends WBC title and sets terms for Ennis fight

Sebastian Fundora successfully defended his WBC light middleweight title with a final-round knockout against Ermal Hadribeaj. The victory has sparked debate regarding the referee's decision to wave off the fight at 2:59 of the 12th round, even though Hadribeaj had risen to his feet. Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz defended the stoppage, arguing that the referee was preventing Hadribeaj from being ‘saved by the bell’ and noting that Hadribeaj required medical attention following the bout.

Following the win, Lewkowicz addressed a potential unification bout between Fundora and Jaron Ennis. While Ennis currently holds two world titles, Lewkowicz stated that Fundora will only accept a 50/50 revenue split for the fight, asserting that both champions deserve equal compensation for their sacrifices. Ennis is expected to face Josh Kelly before any potential clash with Fundora.
