Sebastian Fundora to defend WBC title against Ermal Hadribeaj

WBC super welterweight champion Sebastian Fundora is set to defend his title against mandatory challenger Ermal Hadribeaj on October 17 in Las Vegas. During a virtual press conference, Fundora expressed confidence in extending his current three-fight knockout streak, stating, “I’ve taken 0’s before. I’m on a three-fight knockout streak and we intend to keep that going.”

Hadribeaj, an undefeated fighter from Albania, aims to make history by becoming his country’s first world champion. While he has not displayed high knockout power, he is noted for his accuracy. The matchup presents a significant physical challenge, as Hadribeaj will need to navigate the reach of the 6-foot-6 Fundora. Both fighters are currently training at high altitudes to improve cardiovascular conditioning for the bout. The fight will be simulcast on TNT, truTV, and DAZN.
