Romanian SuperLiga: U Cluj defeats UTA Arad as FCSB shifts tactics

The Romanian SuperLiga continues with significant developments across several clubs. Universitatea Cluj secured a 2-1 victory against UTA Arad, with Alibek Aliev scoring twice. Following the loss, UTA coach Adrian Mihalcea expressed deep concern regarding the team's mental state and squad composition, noting that the club is in a “disastrous period.”

FCSB is implementing tactical changes under the direction of Gigi Becali, transitioning to a 3-4-3 formation for their upcoming match against FC Botoșani. The club has also bolstered its attack by signing Arnold Garita on loan from Shenzhen Juniors. However, the team faces challenges, including injuries to key defenders Mihai Popescu and Vali Crețu, and concerns regarding the poor condition of the pitch at the Arcul de Triumf stadium.

In other news, Mihai Popescu is nearing a return to the pitch for FCSB after knee issues, with an MRI showing no ruptures. Meanwhile, former international Claudiu Keșeru defended striker Daniel Bîrligea, attributing recent missed opportunities to excellent goalkeeping rather than a lack of form.
