Sebastian Ogier tops Acropolis Rally super‑special stage in Greece

French driver Sebastian Ogier claimed the fastest time on the opening super‑special stage of the Acropolis Rally, the eighth round of the 2026 World Rally Championship. Ogier completed the 1.38‑kilometre course in 1:38.22, a full second ahead of his Toyota teammate Takamoto Katsuta, while 2024 champion Teri Neuville finished third.

The stage, held at The Ellinikon Sports Park in Athens, marked the ceremonial start of the event. Greek entrant Ioannis Serderidis recorded the best national time in a factory‑run Ford Puma Rally 1. The full rally begins tomorrow, featuring six special stages across the historic routes of Mount Parnassus, Elikonas, Thebes and the two passes of the Stiri section, covering 129.22 kilometres. Competitors will have only a 20‑minute remote service at Livadeia and a brief evening service at Loutraki, with teams limited to tools carried in the cars.
