Sebastian Rode backs Adi Hütter at Eintracht Frankfurt

Former Eintracht Frankfurt captain Sebastian Rode has expressed strong confidence in the club’s new head coach, Adi Hütter. Rode, who previously played under Hütter for two years, described him as a “super guy” and believes he can restore the team’s intensity and motivation.

Rode’s comments follow a turbulent period for the Bundesliga club. He noted that while former coach Dino Toppmöller performed well for two and a half years, his tenure ended with a difficult phase. Rode was more critical of Albert Riera, describing him as a “difficult guy” whose impact as “fresh blood” quickly dissipated and who made several tactical or professional errors.

Looking ahead, Rode suggested that the squad still requires improvements in quality and experience, noting that the club may still make moves in the transfer market before the September 1 deadline.
