Sebastian Stan pitches Winter Soldier solo film concept to Kevin Feige

Actor Sebastian Stan has revealed that he half-jokingly pitched a solo film concept for his Marvel Cinematic Universe character, Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier, to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

Described as a “Sicario-esque” thriller, the pitch focuses on a grounded, low-budget story centered on a character who becomes obsessed with finding someone from his past related to his time being brainwashed. Stan noted that while the idea was presented somewhat jokingly, Feige responded by saying, “Yeah, that sounds cool.”

While there is currently no official confirmation that a standalone Winter Soldier project is in development, the news has generated significant interest among fans. Stan is currently slated to reprise his role in Avengers: Doomsday.
