Sebastiano Antico dies in fatal sidecar accident in Val di Zoldo

Sebastiano Antico, a 55-year-old resident of Conselve, died following a sidecar accident on Sunday afternoon, August 9, in the Val di Zoldo area. The incident occurred around 5:20 PM on provincial road 251, a stretch connecting Val di Zoldo and Longarone near Pontesei.

Initial investigations suggest the vehicle left the roadway autonomously, and no other vehicles were involved. Antico's wife, who was driving a car ahead of him, returned to find the wreckage after realizing he had not arrived at their destination. Emergency responders from Suem 118 attempted resuscitation, but the man's injuries were fatal.

Two family dogs traveling in the sidecar were unharmed in the crash. The State Police are currently conducting investigations to determine the exact cause of the vehicle veering off the road. Local firefighters from Belluno and Zoldo assisted in securing the area and managing the scene.
