Separately, a dispute continues between striker Sebastiano Esposito and Cagliari. Esposito has submitted a second medical certificate citing emotional stress and anxiety, extending his absence from pre-season training to a total of 25 days. The situation has caused significant tension, with the club considering disciplinary action and a potential €30,000 fine for his unauthorized absence from training camp. While Esposito's agent, Mario Giuffredi, claims the break was mutual, Cagliari is reportedly seeking a transfer fee of at least €15 million to resolve the impasse.
