Sebastien Carabin wins men's race at Eupen triathlon, Bieke Trenson claims women's title

Sebastien Carabin of Verviers captured the men's half‑distance (mid‑distance) title at the 42nd Ostbelgien Triathlon in Eupen, Belgium, finishing in 3 hours 37 minutes 53 seconds. He was followed by Jonas De Wachter, who arrived about two and a half minutes later, and Noah Havard, who completed the podium.

In the women's race, Bieke Trenson from Knokke‑Heist secured victory with a time of 4 hours 26 minutes 47 seconds, edging out Stephanie Louppe in a sprint finish on the final 300 metres. Anita Verkerk and Judith Wirth‑Kather rounded out the top five.

The event featured good water quality at the Eupen reservoir, allowing a full swim segment, and attracted a strong field of regional triathletes across both the half‑distance and Olympic‑distance categories.
