Sebastião Rezende lacks proof of R$ 600,000 transfer to Unemat
State Deputy Sebastião Rezende claims to have transferred R$ 600,000 to the State University of Mato Grosso (Unemat) to support the implementation of an Architecture and Urbanism course in Rondonópolis. However, the Bank Order Note (NOB) cited by the deputy to prove the transfer has not been publicly presented.
The project was originally estimated to cost R$ 1.2 million, with a proposal for R$ 600,000 from the deputy and R$ 600,000 from the municipal government. This arrangement was reportedly a verbal agreement between Rezende and the former mayor, José Carlos do Pátio. Investigations found no signed agreements, contracts, or official documents from the previous administration that would legally obligate the current municipal government to fulfill the R$ 600,000 counterpart.
Further clarification is required from Unemat regarding the current updated costs of the project, as the initial estimate may not cover all necessary equipment and infrastructure.
