SEC announces 2026 Football Legends class

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) has announced its 2026 Football Legends class, a group of 16 former stars recognized for their collegiate and professional achievements. The honorees include Heisman Trophy winners, national champions, and NFL standouts.

Notable selections include former Alabama head coach Nick Saban and former Georgia coach Mark Richt. LSU’s Patrick Peterson, a former Bednarik and Thorpe Award winner, will be honored alongside Mississippi State’s Darius Slay and Ole Miss’ Tony Bennett. The class will be celebrated during the SEC Football ‘Weekend of Champions’ in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 4-5, 2026, featuring a ceremony at the College Football Hall of Fame.

The group represents a diverse range of excellence, from former first-round NFL draft picks to decorated defensive players and championship-winning coaches.
