The fashion industry is seeing a significant shift toward "second-skin" ballerinas for the Autumn 2026 season. These shoes are characterized by a slim, high-cut silhouette and extremely fine, supple materials—such as nappa leather or mesh—that allow the shoe to contour closely to the foot's shape.

This trend focuses on high-level comfort and flexibility, often rivaling the ease of sneakers while maintaining an elegant profile. Key design elements include thin, flexible soles that mimic barefoot walking, elasticized heel sections, and split soles for increased movement.
