Second‑year 'Made in Damietta' furniture exhibition launches in Alexandria
Deputy Governor of Alexandria, Dr. Amira Yassin, opened the "Made in Damietta" furniture exhibition for the second consecutive year on behalf of Governor Ayman Attia. The event is held at the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, under the patronage of the Project Development Agency and in cooperation with the Damietta Furniture Manufacturers Union.
Eighty furniture factories from Damietta are showcasing a wide range of products, offering them at factory prices and providing delivery to Alexandria and neighboring governorates. The free‑entry exhibition runs from 30 July to 8 August 2026, daily from noon to midnight, aiming to support national industry, promote small‑ and medium‑size enterprises, and give manufacturers direct marketing channels.
Organisers highlighted the exhibition’s role in boosting the Egyptian furniture sector’s quality perception and providing affordable, high‑quality home furnishings to citizens.
