Secret Harbour median house prices reach $1 million

Median house prices in Secret Harbour, a suburb south of Perth, reached $1 million in August, marking a 2.8 per cent increase over the previous month. Data from the Real Estate Institute of WA indicates that the suburb was among the top five areas in the region for median house sale price growth during this period.

The rise in property values follows a high-profile byelection in the electorate, which occurred after the resignation of former WA government cabinet member Paul Papalia. The byelection gained national attention after One Nation candidate Luke Herdegen won the seat, securing the party’s first-ever spot in the Western Australian Legislative Assembly.

Other suburbs reporting significant growth in August include Hamilton Hill, Greenwood, Scarborough, and East Cannington. Local real estate professionals noted that while the political activity has increased the suburb's profile, entry-level opportunities remain for first-home buyers.
