Secret Network SCRT supply quadruples following governance vote

The supply of SCRT on the Secret Network increased approximately fourfold on August 21, 2026, rising from roughly 362 million to over 1.44 billion. This change was triggered by a community governance decision known as Proposal 365, titled ‘Community Continuance of Secret Network (L1)’, rather than a hack or a network fork.

While the supply increased, individual wallet balances remain unchanged, though holders now own a smaller percentage of the total supply. The governance vote saw 38.78 million SCRT in favor and 4.98 million vetoes, though a significant portion of the supply—approximately 55 percent—abstained from voting.

In addition to the supply increase, the community rejected the previously discussed migration to Arbitrum, meaning the scheduled snapshot for September 1, 2026, will not occur. Separately, Binance has scheduled the delisting of SCRT, with trading set to cease on September 3.
