Secret Service Director discusses Trump decoy plane tactics

Secret Service Director Sean Curran has expressed frustration regarding media reports detailing the use of a decoy plane for President Donald Trump. During an interview on 60 Minutes, Curran stated that the agency wishes the details of the operation had not been made public, noting, “that takes some of our tactics away from being able to do something similar again.”

The reports concern an incident during a NATO summit in Turkey, where the President was reportedly transported via a different aircraft rather than Air Force One. This tactic was reportedly implemented following a credible assassination threat from Iran. Curran confirmed that using decoys is a known practice, stating, “Look, that's not the first time we've done that.”

President Trump commented on the security measures, noting that he follows the guidance provided by the Secret Service and the military. He stated that the decision to use a different flight was made for safety purposes and that he complies with their directives.
