Marquez Christopher Pinder, a 29‑year‑old U.S. Secret Service special agent assigned to the Miami field office, was arrested with two other men—Jared Lamar James, 26, and Elijah Delano Dyous, 29—in connection with an alleged hazing ritual of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. The incidents took place from April 1 to April 4, 2024, at an off‑campus apartment in Sweetwater and a house in unincorporated Miami‑Dade County. Prosecutors say the victims, a University of Miami law student and a second young man, were repeatedly beaten with canes and paddles after failing to answer fraternity‑related questions.
