Secretariat of Women provides aid to caregivers of feminicide victims

The Secretariat of Women (Semujeres) has distributed 322,000 pesos in economic aid to 22 beneficiaries through the 'Economic Support for Caregivers of Victims of Feminicide Violence' program. The initiative is specifically designed for individuals who are currently caring for the children of women who were victims of feminicide.

The program aims to mitigate the family consequences of feminicide violence and reduce the vulnerability of children, adolescents, and women. By providing direct financial assistance, the scheme seeks to prevent orphans from being left unprotected and to improve overall care conditions for affected families.

The distribution was led by the Secretary of Women, Sisely Burgos Cano, and the Director of Attention to Violence in Municipalities, Martina Silvia Gutiérrez Reyes. Burgos Cano stated that the Secretariat is prepared to support those affected by these losses, noting that each victim represents a wound to the social fabric.
