Section Pau secures dominant Champions Cup victory over Leicester
Section Pau delivered a commanding performance in the Champions Cup, defeating Leicester with five tries to secure a 41-point victory. The match began with Leicester taking an early 10-3 lead through a Chessum try and a Searle penalty, but Pau responded with high-tempo offensive rugby.
Théo Attissogbe played a pivotal role in the comeback, initiating two of Pau's first tries with powerful runs. Rodrigo Marta also contributed significantly with a double, demonstrating clinical finishing. Other scoring efforts came from Zabala, Grandidier-Nkanang, and Brau-Boirie, the latter of whom secured an offensive bonus point by intercepting an English pass.
While Leicester attempted to respond through Adam Radwan, they struggled to match the fluidity and movement of the French side. The victory serves as a strong opening statement for Pau in their Champions Cup campaign.
