Secundaria Técnica 64 installs surveillance cameras in Frontera
Secundaria Técnica 64 in Frontera, Coahuila, has begun installing approximately 37 video surveillance cameras to enhance security and control within the campus. The project aims to monitor classrooms, hallways, and green areas to provide a safer environment for the school's roughly 608 students.
Director Luis Antonio Martínez Rodríguez stated that the initiative is a collaborative effort involving parents, teachers, and resources from the ‘La Escuela es Nuestra’ program. The installation follows security guidelines from the Secretaría de Educación de Coahuila.
While no major internal incidents have been reported, the surveillance is intended as a preventive measure to address minor issues and external risks, including gang-related activity in the school's periphery. The system is designed to provide clear evidence in the event of incidents and to ensure a more controlled environment for the student community.
