Secure&IT warns office is no longer a sufficient security perimeter

Secure&IT has issued a warning regarding the evolving security needs of the modern workforce, stating that the traditional office can no longer serve as a company’s primary security perimeter. Francisco Valencia, General Director of Secure&IT, noted that VPNs are no longer sufficient to protect remote work environments.

As employees access corporate systems via various devices, including personal smartphones and tablets, these tools must be integrated into asset and endpoint management strategies. The company recommends implementing identity management, access controls, two-step verification, encryption, and continuous monitoring to mitigate risks. Organizations are encouraged to maintain updated inventories and control application permissions to ensure that mobility does not compromise security.
