Securitize and Neuberger Berman launch multi-chain tokenized bond fund
Securitize and Neuberger Berman have launched the Neuberger Securitize High Income Tokenized Fund (HINC), a multi-chain investment vehicle. The fund targets high-yield corporate bonds, collateralized loan obligations, and leveraged loans. It is designed for accredited investors and qualified purchasers, operating across the Avalanche, Ethereum, Solana, and Sui blockchain networks.
This launch marks Neuberger Berman’s first role as a subadvisor to a tokenized fund. The fund's underlying assets remain traditional credit instruments, while the ownership interests are issued as digital tokens. Additionally, a governance proposal has been introduced to allow HINC to be used as supply-only collateral on Aave Horizon, which would enable holders to borrow stablecoins against their positions.
In its recent quarterly financial results, Securitize reported record tokenized assets under management (AUM) of $4.3 billion, a 16% year-over-year increase, and a 147% surge in transaction volume to $5.3 billion. However, the company also reported a shift to an adjusted EBITDA loss of $5.5 million, as total revenue fell 5% to $14.4 million. Management noted that while platform activity is accelerating, much of the transaction volume is not yet being monetized.
