Security and social campaigns set for ABC vs Uberlândia semifinal

Security forces are mobilizing for the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D semifinal match between ABC and Uberlândia at the Arena das Dunas in Natal. More than 300 military police officers will be deployed to ensure safety for an expected crowd of approximately 30,000 fans. The security operation includes various units, such as shock police, cavalry, and motorcycle patrols, covering the stadium surroundings and access routes.

In addition to security measures, the Public Ministry of Rio Grande do Norte (MPRN) will conduct a domestic violence awareness campaign during the match. This initiative, part of the ‘Agosto Lilás’ campaign, aims to use the high visibility of the football match to provide information and support for victims of violence against women.

Regarding ticket distribution, the Military Police of Rio Grande do Norte clarified that they do not have the legal authority to interfere with the number or allocation of tickets, a responsibility held by the clubs and the local football federation. The police stated their role is strictly limited to developing the policing plan in accordance with sports laws and competition manuals.
