Security flaws in CURP mobile registration and SIM duplication prompt court ruling and potential compensation

In a separate development, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of users, finding the telecom company negligent for issuing a duplicate SIM card without properly verifying the applicant’s identity, which enabled unauthorized access to personal and banking accounts. The ruling indicates that affected users could seek compensation for damages.
