Security forces increase surveillance at Cuautla Technological Institute

Authorities in Morelos have intensified security measures at the Instituto Tecnológico de Cuautla following violent incidents on October 28 near the Santa Bárbara–Izúcar de Matamoros highway. To ensure the safety of students, teachers, and administrative staff as in-person classes resume, security forces are monitoring campus entrances, bus stops, and public transportation routes, specifically routes 4, 5, and 9.

The operation involves coordinated efforts between federal, state, and municipal agencies, including the Secretariat of National Defense, the National Guard, the Federal Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, the Morelos SSPC, and the Cuautla Municipal Police.

Regarding the student injured during the recent events, officials confirmed the individual is out of danger and is receiving institutional support from the Morelos Government Secretariat.
