Security forces respond to kidnapping and body discovery in Mexico

In Cancún, security forces mobilized in the Ciudad Natura residential area following reports of the illegal deprivation of liberty of an elderly woman. According to initial reports, unknown individuals violently forced the woman into a vehicle and detained her for several minutes. She was later abandoned at the edge of the residential area with visible physical injuries.

Local police and state authorities arrived at the scene, but the victim, appearing to be in shock and potentially intimidated, refused to provide details regarding her attackers or the vehicle used. She also declined medical assistance and police custody.

In Cortazar, Guanajuato, authorities discovered a decomposing body inside plastic bags within a ditch near the Coria canal. The discovery was reported by local residents near the Galeras community. The State Attorney General's Office and criminal investigation agencies processed the scene, and the body was transported to the forensic service for identification and autopsy.
