Security guard dies after falling from Cementerio del Este wall
A 64-year-old security guard, Enrique Ramírez, died in the early hours of Monday after falling from a wall at the Cementerio del Este in Asunción, Paraguay.
According to Police Commissioner Pedro Bavera, Ramírez was arriving for his night shift when he realized he had forgotten his keys. He attempted to climb a perimeter wall located on Santa Teresa Avenue, but a brick gave way, causing him to fall and strike his head.
A passerby discovered the body around 01:30 and alerted authorities. Emergency services and forensic experts attended the scene, and the body has since been released to his family.
